Does This Happen to You?

You read for a good while and then your vision gets really blurry. Every time I read a lot of material during the day, in the evenings my eyes can't focus clearly. I rest my eyes by closing them but it's no use. I hope I don't need to get glasses.

Is it normal for this to occur? Does it happen to you?

Sounds like you ought to seriously make an appointment with an eye doc..they're nice folks, really..trained not to bite or anything;) You're experiencing eye strain if nothing else, and may need reading glasses. No shame there...some of my favorite people on the planet wear spectacles...:D

But when my eye doc told me there's no cure for old eyes, I did seriously consider hitting him...but I was always taught not to hit a guy wearing glasses:rolleyes:

I experience this after about two hours of reading at night. I think it's just you being tired-it's your body telling you to call it a night.

I have a problem reading/focusing at around sunset. I don't know why. The lamp lights are not enough and the sun is setting so that's not enough either. It's just until it's fully dark and the lights are on inside that I can read. Weird?

This happens to me all the time. I can't blame it on age as I'm 16 but I've always had bad eyes. About 6 surgeries for a lazy eye and I've been wearing contacts/glasses since I was 8.

It happens to me sometimes. All I have to do is lie down, shut my eyes, listen to some quiet music, and put a warm, damp, cloth over my eyes. It makes me feel a lot better after a bit.

I will try that the next time I get blurry vision. Thanks!
