When are we going to start asking the right questions, put forward priorities that matters. It is maybe one of the thing that worries us(from rich countries)the most, but we still react to it like if it was a tomorrow probleme.

Are we going to be scarred forever of nuclear power or realize that, for the time being,it is the cleanest source of energy for the needs moderne cities have.Or coal, who is now extracted much more efficently(liquefied) and will be use in China in thermal central ,is a good alternative?
if we went real solution,we need a no nonsense approche of the question.
I know sun and wind power are very attractive but only for small amout.

As for the weast, the no-plastic-bag policy is just another way to make you fell better without having to do something real. Most of the product sold in a supermarket are wrapt in 2,3 or even 4 plastic things.
As for the multiple bins, they often go to the same place at the end.
Or the little green arrow stuff on the bag of the package does'nt mean nothing anymore.

Maybe the rubbish truck could have a way to weight our bins, and make people pay accordingly?I say that because money seems to be one of the mean motivation nowdays.

Where i live i don't have rubbish collection,i burn plastic and paper, give empty bottles to the neighbours, veg goes to animals, all cans and metals i squash to minimum.

I there thing you think could help, what's you views?

This is the best solution or some combination of it. If we can create the right incentives we will come the closest to getting the outcomes that are most desirable.

As to having to burn your garbage, well that sucks but it's better than having it pile up in and around your home right? Energy and where it is going to come from in the future, how clean it will be, more efficient ways of using it and everything else that goes along with that topic is something that has really caught my interest of late.

Actually similar systems already exist. Where my daughter lives in the country, there is no rubbish truck. There is the local dump and to take things there you have to buy tickets, one per bag, thus paying them to accept your rubbish.

Here we have a very good recycling program.
One bin for all plastics, cans , glass and paper, and another for yard garbage like, grass, branches, leaves and food leftovers which they take and turn into fertilizer (soil) again.
Neighbors joke that I am trying to save the world ,but I don't care.

It is very difficult to find a specific solution when Gore did this whole documentary on this subject, and his home uses energy that could be used by ten houses:eek:

I feel any part we can do from home helps.Even those plastic grocery bags they are trying to replace.

Are the governments doing enough? I don't think so, they are too busy getting into wars and spending money elsewhere, but we can never go back to "clean air" days like years ago. We have to try not to make it worst.
