Firefox Plugins?

I know there are a few of you out there using Firefox. I installed it a few months back and have been very pleased. I haven't really had any time to play around with it though, so it's probably still at all the default settings.

Anyway, I just read an article about extensions for it. Do any of you folks use these? I'm running a fairly old (five or six years) and on death's doorstep desktop, so I don't have a ton of speed and memory at my fingertips. Am I asking for trouble here or are these things fairly reliable?

I use a couple, one for football (soccer) scores as they come in, one for a dictionary, and a Gmail notifier. They are relatively small and painless.

I use the dictionary extension - probably the most useful I've come across, personally.

There's a thing called StumbleUpon. It's like random surfing, but within a set of interests you define. Fun, but ultimately nothing more than a time-wasting device.

Any extension is simple to install in my experience.

I use a few:

Adblock & RIP to get rid of ads and Dictionary. The rest are mostly usability plugins.
