Carlos-most people keep information about "mantal(sp) anguish" and the like, well, a bit more privately than you. It isn't exactly something that you just put out there on a forum for others to see. If you had close friends or something like that here, then I could see posting in PMs or the like. This very thread could be seen as a self-pitying thing that you do.

How am I doing that????

What SFG said.
And everytime someone says something slightly negative/criticizing about your behaviour you seem to resort to saying "but I've a mental illness". Lots of people live with bipolar disorder but you seem to be the only one that is mentioning it so often.

This.

My objective to to tell others who might have such illness that they are not alone and that there is help. That's all.

Between volunteer work with some charity or other and posting stuff apropos of nothing to a book forum, which do you think is the more effective?

^ There are more effective ways to raise awareness. Be more productive. This thread is crap because it is not informative/educational enough to fulfil your aim for awareness. I'd wager that's about the gist of it.
