Forum Cross Postings

I once read that cross posting across forums is not exactly a very good thing to do. Most of us play in multiple forums, and inevitably there will be people who will see this more than once.

Sometimes there are questions that I want to pose or reactions to opinions that I want to get, and sometimes posting it across forums verbatim allows me to get more responses than I would otherwise get than if I post it on a single forum.

Now I don't see a problem, and will do so, but I was kinda wondering what you guys think about cross posting.

To make it interesting, I will cross post this.

I've narrowed my book forums considerably in the last few months, so cross posting doesn't bother me one bit.

Depends on the subject.If something is interesting for me,I don't mind,but if it's something that's not,it can become annoying.

But that's not the point - you see me in several places, and I post the same thing! Won't you feel like punching a hole through the monitor and sending me some cheques to get me to stop (the 2nd one you should consider, btw).

All depends on what is being posted. If the same drivel is posted on several forums I would get annoyed, but if it is a legitimate enquiry such as this, I don't mind.

I have been there, done that. One day you'll find that half of your good pals decide to run off somewhere because they don't like what the other half of your good pals had said, and before you know it just to keep in touch with you split yourself between different boards.

I hope it doesn't happen, but as I've said before, the only constant in forum life is change - since invariably people's life circumstances change, and you won't see them again.
