The trailer for Sin City is out, and boy, it looks goooood... all star cast! It's film noir stuff, this...

I enjoyed the trade paperback, and looking forward to see if the movie is as dark as the tpb. There are a couple of characters I don't remember seeing from the tpb though.

Yes, that's right. The original Sin City graphic novel has now been adapted to film.

Can they really adapt that to a movie? I would love to see it all shot in black and white ( which would never happen ) but that would be a cool way to translate the artwork from the comic. One big part of the comic was the artwork style. Take that away and you lose a lot. Also, the comic book was VERY dark. It was gritty, dark, and very violent. Again, no way would that dare put that on film. I'll be interested to see how it all works out

OK, I just watched the trailer and take back everything I just said! WOW, that look fantastic!!!! I am so impressed and excited!

They actually DID shoot it in black and white. But I love how they have added splashes of colour into the black and white or how they have tightened the contrast in places. They really have captured the look of Sin City! The studio has some guts! Looks like they really captured the feel of Sin city also. This looks like one very stylish movie. Love the look and direction. I'm a very excited bunny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Er... not in one particularly far-reaching and violent instance.

Yeah, I did the little tap dance routine when I saw the trailer too. But I don't know who Bruce Willis might be - his character is certainly not in the original Sin City. Unless they got other characters from the other TPBs in the movie as well...
