I'm looking for a particular French word that means:
the process in which, when you are learning a skill or working through a creative problem, the solving of the immediate problem causes other problems and issues to crop up.
There is one French word for this, for which there is no English equivalent.
Does anyone know what this is?
Here's an example: you are trying to master a long and complex piano piece and are working on the fingering and dynamics for a difficult section. You solve that, but then the part just after that, which you thought you had mastered, sort of falls apart and you have to work on that next.
