Where should I start?
These are authors who I've liked more than 1 body of work
- Stephen R. Donaldson
- C.S. Friedman
- Robert Silverberg
- Stephen King
- Clive Barker
I don't think I'm a Tolkien fan.. I remember being very unhappy reading LOTR (before the movies.. which made me more unhappy
)
Recently I had discovered Enders Game and was thinking of reading the follow-ups (which there is a quite a few now)
And generally try to shy away from books with long running series with elves, bows etc. I have read a lot of Frank Herbert, Greg Bear (I think been a while) some of the 2001 guy (forget name) some of Ray Bradbury but can't really recall any other influential authors I like..
