Hello, I'm searching for a book for my mother. She is somewhat older now and is unable to give me much information apart from the following.
As far as she's told me it's the story of early years of a boy in Hong-Kong during World War 2. She assures me now that the person in question has passed away and that she has read it before. She says that the title is "Gwillian" or some sort of variation. But as I say she is older and not as switched on as she used to be so I may be on a wild goose chase
