Hello there!

Just registered, so a good time to introduce myself...

Semi-retired, I live in rural Northumberland, close to the Scottish Border. I prefer reading the classics - Scott, Dickens, etc to the more modern literature. That said, I read all kinds of books - ancient and modern. I also like reading poetry, biographies, books on ancient/natural history, the Arts etc etc...

That`ll do for now; maybe I`ll add a little more later on. Looking forward to joining in the discussions:)

hi Stuart, i also just registered, i'm also semi-retired and am living in cambridgeshire now after moving away from london, i'm pretty new to all this computer and technology stuff, but i'm really enjoying it, pretty similar interests to books as you especially the classics, i'm actually reading harry potter at the moment but i have a really good version of The Cricket on the Hearth on the mp3 player my grandchildren bought me for christmas last year. Thankyou for the welcomes.

I`ve read most of Dickens my favourite has to be `Pickwick Papers`. Some amazingly funny characters; but then Dickens lived, breathed and had his being among real living people - people just like those he portrayed in his stories...
