Hi,

I know this is going to be like all those other hundreds of introduction posts, but it wouldn't be very polite to not introduce myself, would it? lol

So about me....

I live in the US and I have always loved to read. The genre of books I read varies but currently I am getting into books by authors such as Kurt Vonnegut, Sylvia Plath, Ernest J. Gaines, Alison Munro, Steinback, etc. etc. I love reading because it allows you to escape into another world that is not your own. You can see things from a character's point of view and just absorb it all. I really hope to broaden my reading through these forums and discuss literature with fellow readers.

There's quite a big thread on Kurt Vonnegut in the 'Author Discussion' .
Not read any of his books but 'Slaughter house five' looks good.

I am sure you will find someone who shares you love of literature in the "Author" and "Book" discussions. Seem to be some pretty lively discussions going on there!

You should also check out the "Writer's Showcase". Some really good short fiction and excerpts turn up there from time to time. And, you may be reading the early work of a future Steinbeck or Vonnegut!
