I've just been elected for the school's book forum, yet can't think of any book to introduce. I need a book suitable junior forms to read. Are there any suggestions? THX

What kind of book would you want? Adventure/social problems/ family story/ animal story/fantasy? Presumably you have to think about both boys and girls here - so the book musn't be too much a male read or a female read.

However, to start with ideas

C.S. Lewis ) The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Roald Dahl (any of his books)
Lemony Snicket A Series of Unfortunate Events
Diana Wynne Jones Howl's Moving Castle

Some more suggestions:

The Hero & The Crown
by Robin McKinley
The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley
A Long Way from Chicago by Richard Peck
The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett & subsequent novels in the series
The Year of the Griffin by Diana Wynne Jones (esp. if you have Harry Potter fans)

I second Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
