Help in valuing a book

Good Day

My name is Hugh Hopkins. I am a new user, and was wondering if anyone can help in valuing an old book I have.

Anything would be great as I have cannot find anything on the web. :(

Details are as follows.

Author : W.T. STEAD (Willam Thomas)

Title : REAL GHOST STORIES
A revised reprint of the christmas and new year's numbers of the "Review of Reviews" 1891-2

Publisher : London Grant Richards 9 Henrietta Street Covent Garden W C

Condition : Cover and binding intact. Binding is a little loose, all but a 1 of the pages seem to be intact.
1st page is loose (Contents page) All other pages seem to be ok (did not want ot handle too much in case of damaging)
Binding cover is a little torn at top, about 1 inch from the top down to the title, tear stops at the title.
There is also a smaller tear at the bottom of the binding cover, approx 1 cm.
There is some staining on the front and back of the cover, which look to be from a tea cup that someone had been setting on the book
The cover itself seems to be in good condition otherwise.
All pages seem to be intact and all seem to be in good condition with all text being very clear and no staining to any of the pages. (Again I
did not want to handle too much).

Thanks and Regards

I'll give you fifty bucks for it. :)

Take it to a dealer. If they say it's worthless but offer you money for it anyway, then you have a real treasure. :p

omg...this thread made me think of a book i have stacked in my closet somewhere. Its Arthur Millers Death of Salesman, a Viking 1949 print. I looked it up online and some dude has valued the same thing (except with Miller's autograph) at around $6000!!! A book I randomly bought at the Salvation Army for 2 bucks can be worth a few Gs!! Thank you for this thread!!!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
