I'm trying to find a book but I can't remember the author or the title. Or evn the main chracter's name. It's some sort of horror/thriller/supernatural novel that I read a year or two ago.
What I do remember is:
-Early on in the book a kid called Dilan (not sure of spelling) dies.
-The main character finds a dead bird on the roadside near a forest that he has an odd fascination with. It's body is twisted unnaturally.
-At one point the main character is in the forest and has to crawl through a horrible tunnel filled with cobwebs and the ground is moving with bugs and spiders. I think he has a fear of spiders.
-He becomes weirdly possessed at one point into chasing a small girl into the forest with sudden lust
-There is a witch-type woman who has some sort of sexual desire to be with the main character and I think she uses the lost children to keep her forever young.
-I can't remember where it's set but the houses are the type that you can crawl underneath
