Hi, I'm new too ...

I live in New Zealand, in the capital, Wellington, to be exact. I'm 47 and only recently wrote my first novel. I've joined the site to get a feel for how many readers are likely to want to order novels online, directly from a publisher, mailed to their door ... particularly where the authour (like me) is untried.

As for me? I work for a major telecommunications company, specialise in videoconferencing, and love to write. My partner and I have five children between us, aged 18 to 12, so life is never dull.

I'm a self confessed car nut, and I have finally purchased (well, the bank and I!) the car I've wanted for 30 years ... a 1974 Corvette Stingray 454 ... hence writing a crime/action novel with a car enthusiast flavour - even though it's about a Pontiac, not a Corvette.

I look forward to spending free time (what's that?) reading posts on the site on all manner of reading/writing related topics.

Welcome!. Given your interest in writing and fine cars, I figured that Cussler would be a natural interest. Though in viewing your "currently reading" tag, I can see the natural inclination to read him.

oh wow you wrote a book? one reason authors have my undying awe lol i just dont have the patience...*sniff* i get all these great i ideas but when it comes to actually writing a book i cant stick with it...but anyways yeah er umm...hi welcome to the board and all that...
