Hi to all, i'm new to this group.
I joined this forum because i didn't know were to go else.

I am searching for a thick (picture) book about the World Trade Center. Not one about the atacks, but a book about the actual buildings itself.

I'm looking for a Picture book ( catalog perhaps? ) about the buildings. With lots of info about the actual designing and building of the Towers. How it was constucted, why, who'm etc. etc.

Can someone help me? Or adviese me?

Thanks a lot.

Nope, almost.

This book, like many others, is based on the 9/11 tragedy.
I'm looking for a book about the design, constuction etc.

How the buildings came to life, what happend in 1960 .

Thnx anyway.

The sort of book you are looking for is likely out of print. You might try some of the sites that carry used books (abebooks, alibris, powells, half.com). Also, it will be very pricey when you do find it. You might also try a university library, especially if the university has a strong architecture dept.

No recent book will not mention 9/11, so unless you find an old(er) book, it won't happen.

The book description said

"Bill Harris writes a compact, lively history of the World Trade Center, setting his story within the wider history of New York City, particularly the development of Manhattan skyscrapers. [...] This stunning tribute to the World Trade Center focuses on the history and architecture of the buildings and the lower Manhattan neighborhood where they stood with over 80 full-color photographs."

which I thought was pretty much what you were looking for.

Oh well.
