I joined this forum to meet others & learn how to get started listening to Audio books since I'm a total newbie. Anyone have any suggestions of How to get started & what kind of Audio book player I would need?

Audio books? Any CD player will do unless you're listening to MP3s in which case any MP3 player should suffice. I'm an iPod fan so that is what I would recommend. I listen to audiobooks when I take long road trips.
As far as where to get your audiobooks, you can borrow them from the library, buy them at any brick & motar bookshop, and there are even Netflix style operations that let you rent audiobooks. Also, I imagine that you can get audiobook downloads from iTunes and the ilk.
