Hotmail trouble?

Is anyone else having trouble accessing their Hotmail account? I have not been able to get into it for the last five days. The sign in screen appears and I sign in, then the next bit never comes up - the progress bar never gets beyond less than halfway. :confused: I'm getting really fed up with it now. :mad:

Had the same problem but it worked again after a day, but by that time I had already switched to google mail.
 
I have frequent problems, but if I keep on trying I get through. Bloody annoying when you think you have a important email to be read, and it turns out to be an MSN announcement. Twits!
 
My account is working fine, though I know of others who are having trouble with their accounts.
 
Basically Hotmail is getting really old and creaky compared to the opposition - I'd switch if only I could be bothered, but I rarely use my account anyway :rolleyes:

I still can't get into my account. :mad: Good job they increased the storage limit, or it would have gone well over the limit by now and been frozen.

Let me know if you want a googlemail account, I have some invites left. Not the best solution but it works :)

Tonight I just left Hotmail loading for 25 minutes while I watched TV and it still never advanced beyond the point it always gets to. The strange thing is that on Sunday, I actually got into my account, a so far unrepeated feat. So it can't be my internet settings? (Everything else web-wise works fine). Hotmail is a pain, but I don't really want to lose/change my email address - it will cause loads of hassle. :(
 
I never liked hot mail at all. I find it annoying and plus they have some really nasty stuff in that user agreement that nobody ever reads. The worst one for me being that if you send any sort of creative work via hot mail then Microsoft has all rights to it! :eek: There was a bit fuss made over this when somebody noticed it and they very quitely changed it but only in the US agreement so if you are in any other country, unless they have changed it, it's still there.

I personally like Yahoo mail. User friendly, fast, and it holds 100 megs of mail.

I know it would be a pain to change your address now but maybe this is the time to switch to some other more secure and working email account? :)
 
I've never been impressed with hotmail. I've got an account with them which I use for junk. Gmail isn't too bad (if anyone wants a gmail account, I've got a few invites). Yahoo Mail is one of the best.
 
I like Yahoo too. Hotmail is evil. It would just randomly decide to not work for me too before I stopped using it.
 
I tend to use my Yahoo more than my Hotmail now, though I do still check my hotmail account from time to time - I find you get far less spam with the Yahoo account :)
