Also i am a bit to messy myself to keep my current reading up to date,i'm alway curious to know what some of you are currently reading.

so here it goes

Pontalba how do you find Ripley,And patricia Highsmith style?

Robert are you still reading the winter king?,I loved the caracteres in it,and the realiste tough as well as the humour

I loved the Ripley books! Flew through them, only having to wait for the last two arrive was torture. :D I have Highsmith's Strangers on A Train to get to soon as well.

BTW Thomas, I went back to Casanova in Bolzano.....you've got to read it, persevere through the first part...it is soooo worth the wait! Marai does love to write monologues disguised as dialogue, but these two have to be some of the most heart wrenching I have ever read.

Great,i have to wait till summer to get the Casanova in Bolzano.
I loved the Ripley's,he is a strange man, very serious in all he does. His crimes are always only necessary,he does not take any pleasure in it.Deep down he is an idle personne with natural taste,a low born aristocrate.
I like least the boy who follow Ripley, but it's still very good.
I glad you like them,i sorry Miss Highsmith is often treated as a low genre writer, she deserved much better.

Yes, The Boy Who Followed Ripley was my least favorite also, and the punch at the end was hurtful. Highsmith has a way of drawing less than appetizing characters in a round about sympathetic manner.
I liked very much the relationship Ripley had with his wife, so much deeper than it first appeared.
