How old do you have to be...

before you're not embarrassed to be on a forum at midnight on a Saturday night? Used to be I'd rather die than let people know I was home on a Saturday night, but those days are long gone. :D

That happened when I had my son, I rarely get a night out but we do have people over often and we usually BBQ dinner with our GOOD neighbors on the weekend.

well, at least you have a good excuse! Children are also handy for begging off of things you don't want to do, too, aren't they? ;)

I'm 42 and I don't care. Doo dah doo dah . . .

Miss Shelf, don't sweat what other people think. It's irrelevant if you're happy. ;)

What would you do *every* midnight on Saturday? Wouldn't it be tiring to be out all the time?

But, uhm, no... I'm, uhm... seldom home on Saturday midnights. I, uhm... club. Yeah, that's it. I go clubbing.

C.... cl....cluuuhhhhh? Club? Wassat? :p

I'm always home on Saturday midnights, well, almost always; when role-playing with the guys we sometimes keep going till 2 AM, but I never go clubbing. I have a strong aversion to clubs and clubbing and people...

This is my Saturday night out. :)

Occasionally we go out or have friends over to dinner, but I'm now the one who sits at home waiting for my daughter to get home on Saturday nights.

Well, im 16...I AM THE CHILD...and its saturday night...10:54...and here I am. lol

AND...I'm on school holidays...lol

Sad sad sad...well, i did see a movie with my boyfriend, and he did come over, so I'm not entirely pathetic.

But yes...that time starts and ends all at once

I think I'm right in the middle of that "should be out" partying age group. We go out every once in a while, but because of our schedules it is rarely on a Saturday.

Isn't it more pathetic for a 40+ year old to be "hanging out" in bars and clubs trying to look/act/feel younger than they really are?

I think bars and clubs are for the under 30 crowd...and once you are deep into your thirties you really need to be finding another outlet for your entertainment. But that's just me...

Spending time and money in a crowded bar getting shit-faced got really boring for me a long time ago.

Never really go out on a saturday night since i had the girls!

Even though there at there dads on a saturday!

I value my space! And i love my own company!

I've met those guys in bars, and they are pathetic.

I'm seventeen and it's 22:35 Saturday night. Not quite sure what the age is when it's OK to be at home on a Saturday night, but I'm pretty sure I'm still under it.
Oh well, I'm content sitting here browsing away, so I don't care what anyone else thinks. I don't enjoy drinking, or hanging out in clubs. I don't see any point in doing it just because society dictates I have to, so you have the pleasure of my company for the evening! Chances are I'll be here (or not far away) in a couple of Saturdays time when I turn 18. (That perhaps is bordering on sad, you'd think I'd at least have family to see!)

Heh family will be in bed sleeping at midnight on Saturdays.

It's 15 to midnight now and here I am. I should probably be going to bed though. I've had a rotten week and I need to be able to sing tomorrow at 10... so blech...

blah.. its rare that i'm out on a saturday night to begin with =X theres no where to go around here..

Hubby and I love to go out on our "date nights" but we are such stereotypical married old farts that we are usually home by 11. During the week, my eyes start to close of thier own volition by 9:30. Is that pathetic or what?:p Don't answer that. ;)

I'm answering anyway...:p

You've got the hardest job in the world...times 4 right?

I dare anybody to try to raise 4 young kids and stay awake past 10:00pm....

Come on....I dare you....yes you....

I can speak for myself - not enough kids- but I'm the older of 4 siblings and my dad was the one who went to bed early, not my mum. When I was about 14, I remember he couldn't stay up even in New Year's Eve.

I had better times reading, watching movies with friends at a house or alone than going out for things that were supposedly "fun" I developed that mindset right at 17.
