I would argue that when you kill someone you have no human rights left and you should be grateful the Uk does not hang murderers anymore.

Is the sole reason for this amnesty based on the youth of the murderer? I think it would be terribly sad for him to be deported to a country he has not seen since he was a small child, but I also think it would send a strong message to other immigrants. Behave here, or go back. If this young man is so reformed, he can surely appreciate the added trauma his being released to enjoy the same freedoms as other residents of the UK might have on his victim's family and friends. I have no problems with immigrants having the same human rights as I enjoy, but when they commit murder and mayhem and have not obtained citizenship,I think they need to go back to their country of origin.

Why should a criminal have no human rights? I do agree that he should be deported (well we don't want him ) but I can't agree that certain classes of people should have their basic human rights abolished. Also, cannot ever agree with capital punishment.

Then why release this murderer at all? Either keep him imprisoned for life, or release him after a long time, and deport him. I have mixed feelings at best over the death penalty, but if the law of the land does not allow for it under any circumstances, then keep the worst offenders locked up til they die.
