I love Blackpool (Viva Blackpool in US)!

Saw part one of Blackpool the other night. Best thing I've seen on the teev all year. For the uninitiated, it's murder mystery/musical/drama/comedy from England. Once you get over the initial shock-hump (WTF factor) it's fantastic. I wish it was on DVD.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Unfortunatly I missed the first episode of Blackpool so I'm having to wait for it to be repeated. However it has been brought out on DVD over here, so if it's being shown in North American then it'll probably be brought out on Region 1 at some point as well. The beeb do enjoy flogging DVDs...

Thanks Kenny, but I'm nearly certain that UK DVDs will not work in US equipment. At least that was the case when I was looking for Tinker Tailor, which finally had a US release.

But maybe in tiime we will see a US Blackpool release.

I have a multi-region dvd player as my boyfriend is Canadian and he sends me stuff to watch. If I remember rightly it was one of the cheapest in the store and to make it multi-region I had to enter a code when I first set it up.

As for Blackpool, I've never heard of it. Was it shown here and if so when and will it be shown again?

Talking about Blackpool, we had a wonderful holiday there this summer, we went on big rides all day. Brilliant!!
