i need a new author

I have recently read all of Torey Haydens books. They were brilliant although based on quite disturbing facts. Torey Hayden writes about disturbed, abused children and the years she spent working with them. Can anyone reccommend an author who writes about similar topics please? I would appreciate it, thanks.

A while back I remember reading a book called 'Georgie,' though I can't remember the author's name. It was about a child with major behavioural issues and explored her behaviour and the reasons for it in very graphic, moving detail. It was almost horrifying in places but as far as my memory goes it was excellent.

Thanks, I'll look out for that one but Im really looking for an author with a series of books rather than a one off. The subject doesnt have to be exactly like Torey Haydens but along those lines, thanks again
