Thanks

CDA, I think you need to speak their language, otherwise they won't understand. Consult your local leetspeak directory if you have trouble. like, in the meantime i wonder, like, when the last time is u read Oliver Twist, yo man! :D

Gel pens in different colours at different times in the story. Grey at the Orphanage, black at the undertakers, red at the inn, green at Fagin's house, etc.
There was also a collection of aeroplanes and stuffed dinosaurs. Don't know the meaning. Ask your teacher.

One very important thing in Oliver Twist, is the bit at the end when a big UFO comes down and starts playing tunes and flashing.
Ask your teacher what this means.

While you're asking your teacher about the UFO could you also ask why Oliver spends most of the novel wearing his sisters clothes. I never really understood this.

My what a wicked lot you all are!
Leading this poor child down a twisted path, neglecting to tell her the signficance of the ruby slippers Oliver wore when he asked for "more". Shame;)

It seems your teacher wants you to find the symbolism used. If you try reading it again, keeping this in mind, you will spot them.

"And" and "The" seem to pop up throughout the story quite frequently. You could start with those.
