I never catch a cold ..

.. or so I thought.

Summer is marching in over here, the weather is picking up, the temperature is rising, and guess what? I catch a friggin' cold!

My nose is producing unfathomable amounts of snot.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

Cheers, Martin

Oh, I'm sorry Martin, you must've contracted it from me. I also got a summer-time cold, and never get ill. I think it was due to stress from moving and the fact that my father and in-laws all had the same cold. The worst part for me, though, was giving it to my husband who whines when he's sick. Argh...I love him, but geez, I don't want to hear about his snot-production all day long.

Hope you feel better soon!

Well, now you can listen to me whine about my incredible talent for manufacturing mucus. I create the damn stuff so fast I can't even keep up - the new 'batch' is already in place even before I've 'removed' the old one.

Tres frustrating!

every year i get a sinus drainage, which means snot will run down my nasal cavaties, not my nose, so i cant blow it out. which in result clogs my throat, then days laterm i cough it up, and i cough so much i bleed. so i think i no how ya feel martin. what i did was take benadryl cold medicines, and sudafeds and i overdosed my claritn to 2 pills a dayinstaed of one. your not allowed but....what ya gonna do?

I never get ill, but for the past 2 weeks I've had a horrible cold. Which has now happily morphed into hayfever - a least I can control that. Hope you feel well soon Martin.

Phil has hayfever :( It gets so bad sometimes that he can't sleep (well thats his excuse for staying up on the internet all night :) )

I don't think I got hay fever, though, I've never had that. I presume you can't just all of a sudden start having hay fever, right? You either have it or you don't.

So, just a cold.

The crappy part is, if I blow my nose hard, my nose starts to bleed. So now I have a nosebleed every 6 minutes.

I might die from a loss of blood.

That's what I was afraid of! :(

I'd offer to kiss it and make it better, but:

A. Your g/f would probably frown at that.
B. My 6'1", 250 lb hubby would most DEFINITELY frown at that.
C. I really don't want to catch your cold (no offense).

So, I'll have to settle for tryin' to make you smile.

Is it workin' yet? :D

Erm .. no.

Why should an open space in a post make me smile?

Your hubby is 6'1"? I'm 6'5".

Ooooooooooo! More attractive by the minute... sans the runny nose.

Actually, yes, you can develop allergies/hay fever as an adult. But mostly it would be because you moved and were exposed to different allergens.
