I, too, admire you for teaching 1st grade. I teach 7th grade.
Love 'em to death, but they sure are crazy. I could not imagine teaching any younger, though - I don't have the energy!
Great book from your signature. I've had experience with parents saying they need the teacher's advice on raising their kids!

I taught 7th grade science for a few years.
I think 7th graders are more challenging than 1st graders.
Luckily I only have 20 students in my class + a full time aid.

Welcome! I'm not a teacher, but I once baby-sat and tutored five kids bewteen the ages of two and nine while their mother paid me only $2.50 an hour and wrote me bad checks...is that even close?
