I can only remember reading the beginning, there was a catholic church, a "bad" priest, a hunter guy like a skin trader in the old days, an alter "boy" - but he was a hemaphrodite - I know this sounds like some bad porn or something, but it was a real novel. I want to say the title is something like "raptor", I can remember seeing it near books like "clan of the cave bear" in the book stores. I know I'm not giving any much useful information but any help would be greatly appreciated!
