This is my first time posting in this particular area of Book&Reader.
Usually I post in the writer's showcase.

My name is Manuscriptx, some of you know me by now. I'm here ( still ) to write content.

I'm glad that I was able to turn some people around from not liking it to loving it. Believe me, that's no small task.

Everything I've written in some way is like a hidden part of the larger puzzle, the autobiographic novel I once planned to write.

To give some people an update on that, most of what I started writing and saved on compac disc in late 2003, I decided to destroy and discard.

I posted messages on this website about how much distain I had for literary agents and publishers who published authors that proved to be complete fakes and phonies in a short time, long after they've cashed a sweet $5, $10, or even $50,000 dollar advance.

This while telling no-namers like me that my material isn't good enough.
What a joke that is.

So, a few days ago, I held true to my principles and felt what I did write down wasn't really enough. In a way you can say it wasn't the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I realized that as much as I want the content to twist and turn, dazzle and amaze the average reader, I don't want to ever lose focus on telling my real story of hardship and accomplishment, however unrecognized they may continue to be.

I'm still looking for someone to " notice " me. Wether you are a literary agent, publisher, or some other entity I can work with.

Glad to see you broadening your horizons a bit and posting elsewhere. I've enjoyed your writing here, keep on posting and sharing. :)

Life isn't like that unfortunately. You have to make yourself get noticed - and by the right people (pun intended).

There a tiny number of lucky writers who have been 'found.' But it's a fairy tale dream in reality.

But good luck to you - live the dream!:)

How fortunate......

.........for plagiarists, their shot at getting through to
a publisher/literary agent is still one in a million.

However, that said. If THEY can get through that " barrier "
there's plenty of hope for the rest of us quality writers.
