Is Joy Fielding any good?

Has anyone read anything by Joy Fielding? Yesterday I was giving his/her novel Mad River Road by a stranger...odd this life. Well, is it worth my time to read it or should I trash it. thanks in advance.

This comes pretty late (just some months late ) but did you read the book in the end? I finished it a few weeks ago and enjoyed it a lot I'm thinking of getting some more of her books.
