Hi,

Can anyone advise if the ISBN is unique to each edition?

For example would 123456789 be Edition 1 of a book and 6541321987 be Edition 2.

Or 123456789 cover all future editions?

Let's see, one of my old uni books.... :)
Old and Middle English C. 890-1400: An Anthology, ed. Elaine Treharne.
978-1405113137 (2003)

2008 edition: 978-1405181204

So, to answer your question, yes, each edition has its own ISBN number.

See here for more information on ISBNs.
