Israel Trip

Great pics Libre!. Barring a tragic car accident or a fatal illness, I hope to make a similar journey myself.

Boring??? Are you crazy? Looks like a wonderful trip. Everyone I know who have made the trip come back raving, saying it was well worth the $$$ and effort. I'm happy you got to go!

Still~ If you right click on the x's you get a drop-down menu that includes the option to "show picture." It takes awhile to load them on dial-up, but they're worth the wait.

Amazing pictures Libre (btw i'm so glad you stayed). Was that a Dali piece in the museum? Absolutely stunning.

There was a Dali. That museum was the ULTIMATE art museum - and I'm not all that big a fan of art museums - except to sit outside them and play the guitar for people. Not that I don't like art - I love it. But normally the crowds and the hassles and the scowling guards and the fees, searches, and barriers keeping you a distance from what you are looking at all turn me off.
But this one was like, I don't know, the most beautiful one I ever saw. I mean, they never heard that crazy people deface artwork, because the canvasses were out in the open, just hanging on the wall, for anyone to throw nail polish on. But nobody does. Maybe there is some hope for people after all.
Nah.

Well the museum sure looked beautiful. I'm a big art lover myself and there's definitly no fun if you can't get up close to the exhibits.

thanks for sharing the pics, they are lovely.

Thanks for that hint ABC, I was having the same trouble. Amazing photos Libre, you'll have to add photograper to your CV.

Thanks, everyone. It was an amazing trip - even more amazing because it was part business (we bought 14+ carats of natural yellow diamonds) so the company paid! That was sweet.
The company consists of my brother and me, by the way.

Amazing is right! I want to go there. I have a whole gaggle of cousins there in a Kibbutz. I think it's called Bar-Am.

I will go there someday soon and take my kids on a trip of a lifetime

well that is better :) Do you like working with family? I often do, I've taken some time off but I usually work with my mom, aunt and cousin, I like it a lot most of the time.

It's great - most of the time. Sometimes it can get pretty difficult, when we are clashing, but other than that...

It's sure different than what I used to do - which was working as a design supervisor in an aerospace/defence company. That seems like a lifetime ago, now.

Beautiful pictures. I love to see the architecture in other countries. That's one of the things I really miss about living in Europe.
