It is Hard to Take Seriously
It is hard to take seriously
one's own life,
there are so many people,
and the universe so large
that one is minuscule,
among colliding galaxies
and erupting supernovas,
and the hordes declaiming
that religious faith is foolish,
that God does not exist,
and yet, and yet
one must live
and if the man from Nazareth
strikes one's heart
and beckons to follow
along his Way,
then that is the way
that one must follow,
despite all, and hope
that just one person
hears one's life,
sees what one lives,
and feels in their own heart
that there is a better way.
