This is my most favourite book in the entire world..> I've recommended it to many friends and most of them have also enjoyed it too. It pulls you in deep and you feel like you really know the main character.

A short synopsis. It's based on a fairytale.. if any of you have heard of it.. the one where a girl's father, a Lord, remarries a sorceress.. and she turns all 6 of her brothers into swans. From there on the story is about her journey to save them... it has a touch of romance.. It's a great book. you all should check it out!

Hmmm, I'd never heard it was based on that fairy tale, though I've stood in my local bookshop reading the back blurb of this one as well as the sequel Son of the Shadows (I think that was the title)

I thought it looked like it was aimed a somewhat younger audience than what I was looking for, but I might check it out if I feel like a quick read one day.
