Kate Chopin: The Awakening

I just bought this book today and was wondering if anyone had read it and what they'd thought. No spoilers please. Though I won't be reading it for a while I'd still like to be surprised ;) .

I read it a long time ago.

All I remember about it (aside from something that might class as a spoiler, and so I don't want to say) is that it's about the seaside. All coastal descriptions now make me thing of that, just as all mentions of tops of houses in London remind me of Nights at the Circus by Angela Carter.

Just in case you do want to know, I'll mention this spoiler tags:
It's about a suicide as a result of unrequited love.

The one I read had other short stories in it, one I remember most is about a woman who has a baby who isn't of the same race. It was heartbreaking.

Yes mine also has other stories.

I read this for English last semester, and I loved it.

I've also read the short story about the baby of a different race, and I thought it was wonderfully written. I need to get my hands on some more of her writing.
