I am looking for a book that reads like it could have been written by PG Wodehouse or Saki. Preferably having a cast of young characters and a sensational YA-esque plotline.
You might enjoy Jerome K Jerome's 'Three Men In A Boat (To Say Nothing Of the Dog)'. This is about three young men travelling down the Thames on a boating holiday, in the late 1880's and is very funny.
And what about HE Bates 'The Darling Buds of May' and Stella Gibbon's 'Cold Comfort Farm'? I'm a huge fan of PG Wodehouse and these are all humorous favourites of mine.
The type of book I am looking for doesn't necessarily have to be humorous. The epicish plotline is more important. I dunno why, it's one of those things haha
Regardless, I will check out the other two books you suggested because I am also an Wodehouse admirer. Thanks!!
