Literary Item from The Onion

Let me get this straight - he reads the first part of a book and then doesn't finish it? Is this guy nuts?? How can he bear to do that? *realises rather belatedly that it's probably a joke* Don't mind me, I'm not with it today...

there was an article in there a while ago about how children from broken homes are statistically more inclined to write shitty poetry, using rhyming schemes like, "demise" and "these eyes".

The Onion is satire Halo.

I am willing to bet that describes a lot of people here, to a certain extent. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking, hoping I'm not the only one with that problem. :)

Oooooh, The Onion! I haven't read that in awhile but used to love it! Thanks for the reminder! Must visit soon!

You start books and enjoy only the first third?!?!?! I know the Onion is satire, btw, but does anyone actually do that?! I think that would be my own personal hell (picture Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey) - being given books to read and having them taken away just as I'm getting into the story.
