Looking for a book for starting your own business

I work as a computer programmer in California, US.
I recently gave thought to start up a corporation of myself mostly because some companies require a corp-to-corp agreement.

I know there is something called a "small corporation" and LLC.
However, would really like to read a lot about taxes, forms, legal stuff before I make such a decision.

I'm looking for a book which explains all this stuff, and which corporation type should I choose. If possible, it should be US oriented and especially California since this is were I am right now and maybe there are specific California state laws.

There is a ton of stuff on this. You can get a basic understanding of the different types of corporations from the Small Business Administration web site and your states web site.

Thanks for the links. Will definitely take a look into them.
However, aside from obtaining information from the internet, I think a book is the best resource at the end, especially if the author offers real world examples from his/her experience. Do you know of such a book?

Has anyone read any of these business/corporation books?

I've previously posted a posting but didn't get any pointers to any books.
I work as a computer programmer. Thus, I give services and don't sell any products. In order to be truly independent, I can either go on 1099 or corp-to-corp. I plan on only employing myself initially although in the future may act as a subcontract or have sub contractors.
