My wife and I both remember reading a mystery novel a long time ago (long before we met).
We both remember it as a mystery, we don't remember the author, but we both think the title was "Green apples". We both think it was an English mystery, and we both think the protagonist was a young man who drove an Austin-Healey, and, naturally, had a girl-friend. From the Austin-Healey (if that memory is true), it must have been published after 1952. My recollection would be that it was mid '50's or so.
Pretty weak set of clues, and most likely some of them are innaccurate, since I can't hit on anything like this on Google, or at my local library.
We will both be very appreciative if anyone can provide any information on a novel that is something like this!
