looking for middle aged female assasin series

I am looking for the name of the series wher a middle-aged female painter is recruited to be an assasin, she kills the bad guys.

she also steals table arrangements to paint.

in one book her family's wing at a gallery or museum is being taken over so she kills he guy, only to find out that he did it to preserve it as he was her biggest fan and even had a sort of shrine to her art. He also turned out to be her employer!

I think her name might have been mellville melville? melvil?
