Looking For New Music

I'm always on the lookout for new music, keeps your tastes fresh, and I posted a link on the thread title The Lake to the XFM session for one artist.

If you are looking for interesting new music, maybe you are a Dave Matthews Band fan and need help ( :D ), then I can recommend the choice available in the archive of XFM - there's loads of studio sessions from a wide range of acts from the UK, Iceland, US, Italy, and more.

I recommend Emiliana Torini, Arcade Fire, Gisli, The Delgados, Mull Historical Society, and Willy Mason.

I figured Gisli might be worth checking out when I'm in Iceland, but apparently he's moved to Norway. You wouldn't happen to know some other worthy Icelandic artists, would you?

I'm with you, Jenn. Dave is a talented guitarist, and an interesting lyricist.

but i don't want to hijack the thread. i agree with stew on the arcade fire. i have been listening to it all day and kettles is my favourite song.

Dude - MHS rock! In a slight kind of a way! lol. My recs - don't care what people think - would be: Recoil, Client, Carl Bartos, Black Box Recorder, Nick Drake, Adult. (er, that's Adult dot.) And, of course, The Postal Service. And The Leaves are cool. And while you're at it, give some Clifford T. Ward a go. And some Alec Empire. Oh, and some Ladytron and a bit of John Foxx, if you're feeling a bit 80s..... :D :D :D

Black Box Recorder is a given. Everything Luke Haines, to be fair, is a given.

Alec Empire, oh yeah!

Nick Drake I have.

The others I'll consider.

Cheers.
