Man trapped in car has to survive

I remember a book about a guy that was coming home for school break and wasn't expected. His car slips off the road and down a ravine. His leg gets trapped and he is stuck in his car. He has no way of obtaining help and has to survive using his mind and skills.
I read this book about eleven years ago and I remember it being not a new book and certainly not a bestseller.
Can anyone tell me the title?

It's called Trapped! by Arthur Roth

If you liked that, there was a book I read as a kid (it's probably young adult) about a kid that was in an avalanche and was trapped in an airpocket. The book is about how he survives. I think it's imaginatively called 'Avalanche'. As a teenager I really enjoyed it.
