Membership therapy

hi to everybody!!
I've got i think 2 or 3 membership cards from my over all loved bookstores?? is anybody else "collecting" membership card ir do i need a therapy, because i love them??

I only get one, because they cost money...then I predominantly buy my books at that one bookstore (be it in the store or online), unless I'm shopping for secondhand books.

Membership cards? Is this an American thing? I don't think we have them in Britain (not for book shops anyway). Unless someone knows otherwise!
