Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus

For you who have actually read this book;

John Gray gives us a lot of advice - advice that is actually giving some sense - about how to understand the opposite sex.

My question is, is this book starting to get old? Are the advice he gives outdated?

Do the things he tell you to do actually work?

I am only seventeen, so I have no insight in how men and women interact at all, so I the case might be that I am unexperienced. But males at my age isn't really that Mr.Fix it, and a lot of my female friends never speak of their problems at all.

Are we starting to adapt to one another? Are men and women starting to be more alike emotionally?

Discuss.

I have NOT read the book. I will tell you, though, that I'm 54. In my experience, attempts to categorize and generalize people on the basis of their gender (or month of birth, nationality, height, hair color, or any other trait) are doomed to failure.
So, even though I never read it, it does not surprise me at all that you find numerous exceptions to its generalizations, which were no more accurate the day it was written as they are today.

I won the game in a raffle at the school my sister works in!

But i have never played it!

Never read the book either!
