It's the book I'm reading now and it is really good. Very long but good. I just wanted to know if anyone else has read it and what you're thoughts are. Just no spoilers please!!! That would make me uber sad. :(

Thanks

Wow... thanks for the link... it gave me some hope that there was actual life to the book. I am half way done with it and it just seems to drag being 900 pages and all. But yeah definitely excited to get to the second half. A lot of people where really disappointed about the ending however. Having not finished it I have no real comment on the matter but what was your take on it? Many said it was too abrupt.

It is but I thought in a good way, it leaves you with many thoughts and I liked it after I had a couple of days to think it over :)

I agree with Ronny. The ending fit the book really well and it left me thinking and talking about it with my wife for days. It was one of the best books I read last year and I would recommend his other works too. Each one is very unique and Faber has quickly become one of my favorite authors.

Those wanting to take a trip back into the world of Michel Faber's The Crimson Petal And The White can do so with the recent release of The Apple: New Crimson Petal Stories. It has seven short tales set before and after the events of the book and feature favourite characters such as William Rackham and Sugar in addition to lesser players from the novel.

Despite these stories, as Faber states in the foreward, there won't be a sequel to The Crimson Petal And The White. The ending stays ambiguous, with Sugar finally getting the privacy she never got in the brothel and at the Rackhams.

I'll have to look for that, thanks:)
