Middlesex as the ultimate in the post-modern experimentation

I would like to comment on Jeffrey Eugenides's Middlesex. It is my opinion that this is the most brilliant novel to come out of the post-modern canon. His narrative techniques were not only original, but truly brilliant. He began with a coming-of-age tale and turned it into a sprawling epic. I am sure that someday they will be able to compare this post-modern greek epic with the likes of Homer.
