I purchased "the five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom yesterday, and I stared to read it, on pg 24 something werid happend. Every single page from the title page, copyright, ect, to page 24 was normal in the book, but from page 25 and on was the exact same thing, it was the title page and everything else up to page 24, werid huh?. I thought maybe this was normal for the book so I skimmed through the pages and found out that the second group of the 24 pages ended on the 24th page, and the next page was pg 57?? This is a serious misprint and I'm not really sure what to do, I've heard that misprints can be worth money but where do I sell it? :(

Go back to the place where you bought it might help. Under normal circumstances I'd buy your book, but then I remembered I have a Shakespeare collected works that was missing a page. As a result, the bookstore sold it for 29p.

I bought an Eyewitness Classic The Jungle Book at a used bookstore once. As I was reading it aloud to the kids, I found whole chapters chopped and relocated..so I had to just toss the book.

I don't know how it is where you live, but I work in a bookstore, and that book would definitely be classed as defective, and we would simply give you a new copy, no extra charge. It's the publishers responsibility to make sure their books are ok. Unless of course if you got it at a discount because it was defective. As far as I know, misprints aren't worth anything really, at least not in Sweden, but the bookstore will probably need the defective copy to send to the publisher.

I was over three quarters of the way through Return of the King when the book suddenly changed to one of the other two, I can't remember which. I emailed Amazon expecting a free replacement but they wanted me to return the book. I couldn't be bothered to mess around with posting it; I now use Tescos and not Amazon. Their loss.
