Monarch of the Glen

My kids have discovered Monarch of the Glen and we have the first season on dvd. Now they're watching it over and over. Season two is waiting for reimbursement like the oldest two dds promised when I ordered it on ebay. Do any of you watch this, or is it totally out of fashion?

I watched the first few series but never really bothered after that.

That is one corny soap opera. I love the way it reinforces classist stereotypes in such a predicatable yet inane way. Everybody loves living in the little fiefdom, with no ambitions beyond serving tradition and keeping the countryside properly groomed.

yeah, we figure it's pretty hokey, but the countryside is so pretty..and the girls like looking at Archie
