Don't know, but I bet Houston and San Antonio make the top 20.

Mort, according to this article, Tehran is the least expensive city in the world as of 2003. Somehow, don't think I'd like to move there!

Also on the list: Asuncion, Harare, Manila, Sao Paulo, Mumbai, Rio de Janeiro, New Delhi and Karachi.

No Canadian cities made either list (most expensive or least expensive). Though Vancouver consistently ranks in the top 3 as best place to live. :)

Ell, proud Vancouverite :D

AH so London is at the top of the list for being expensive but near the bottom for being a great place to live. What a surprise

Interesting list. I was surprised that NY was so far down on the most expensive cities list, then again, I'm also surprised to find it on the quality of life list at all (but I don't like big cities at all, so none of them really make me think of a good quality of life). Its interesting to see who made both lists and who didn't.

I was born and bred in London, and I don't think its anything to be proud of how expensive it is to live there, especially when I see how poorly Engineers get paid compared to the USA etc etc. and how highley we're taxed....

God I need to get out of here!

My sister used to live in Japan, Tokyo, and I've been there a few times, its funs and nuts-but I could never live there! Now she's moved to Hong Kong....
