LOL-Only when they have interesting stuff like what I posted. It's sad, but I remember when MTV first started and (gasp!) . . . . .played music videos! I also remember the first "real world" season. The latest one has caught my attention though. As the show has to constantly stay at the forefront, they have to find more people who are "out there." This season, one guy left for rehab and the others are passive-aggressives who are in need of intense psychotherapy. It's entertaining to watch a train wreck, I hate to admit it, but I'm hooked.
In regards to the episode I linked too on schizophrenia-I can't get over the fact that the kid doesn't want to take his meds which would stop the hallucinations and paranoia, or at least, mellow out their effects. However, he does smoke pot, which brings out the worst elements of his mental illness. Yep, he wants to get better...... I've worked with some folks like him. Their illness is an excuse to continue to do the things that they KNOW they shouldn't do, but continue to do anyways.
