here chew on this

Death is a cruel master
He holds a grudge against life
He'll drag you down any chance he gets, along with life
His best friend is sin
His next best friend is life for they go hand in hand
How can you have death without there first being life
Why must things die?
We, mankind, are the only beings on Earth that comprehend death
it is a great burden to carry and understanding death comes at the cost of out innocence
Now we must mature and make life the best we can

I plea for my life
We ate from the tree of "the knowledge of good and evil
I saw that the good was LOVE for life
I saw the EVIL as greed for it
love leads to hope for your life as well as others
Greed is grasping to hold on to life, as fleeting as it is, and its moments

In love you love life and know it goes on without you
Greed makes death triumph and gives him the victory in your life, for your so greedy you want to keep life, but knowing of death is like being stranded in the middle of the ocean
you can only kling to life as long as you stay afloat
all the while fearing death

Very deep Stig. The only thing I disagree with you here on, is that it is greedy to cling on to life. We were made with a natural sense of self-preservation and should cling on to it as much as possible. I think a lot of people fear death, but from what I've seen you've written and read I'm pretty sure you believe life here is not the end.

I agree that self-preservation is instinctive and good, but I also feel that a line should be drawn. Some people hold on to life not because they value it, but because they fear the consequences they face in postmortal realms. This type of greed, to me, would be less-than-good if not evil.

I Also liked it Stig. but you do have some grammatical errors that bugged me a little (I'm sorry, I'm a bit of a perfectionist!).

If you would like I also have something in regards to life and death that you might find interesting. Let me know if you want it, or if you want me to post it.

holding on to life ain't greedy
in context I state that greed of the flesh is to hold on to this life by any means
greedy for pleasure
for when we die we lose touch with the flesh
but yeah I should have said in more of a lamens term

thanks

Im probably still wrong though

Sorry Stig, I'm a bit thick sometimes. I understand what you mean now, thanks for explaining and I agree on both points.:)

I like the idea behind it, but I think it needs to be longer to expand upon the ideas. The part where you say that Death's best friend is Sin and his other best friend is Life seems to go too fast for some reason. Like it needs more detail. Everything else was great.
